Eco-Tours: An eco-tour can be most anything you want it to be. If you want to go watch whales or look for bear, that’s where you go, if you want to explore tidal pools and learn about the sea life, or even study the birds and their habitat, Eco-Tours are for you!

Walk along deserted beaches, have a campfire and tell campfire stores, it can be done. (Off-boat tours on government land can only be provided by a registered guide with the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game)

We have two levels of Eco-Tours, Full Day and Half Days.


  • Full-Day Tours start at 8am (or earlier if you like) and end at 6pm. Times can be varied if preferred. Brown bear are usually best seen early morning (6am) or later evening (9 or 10pm). Part of your eco tour can include St. Lazarius Island. If studying and exploring the habitat is part of your Alaska dream, this is the tour for you! Full Day 10 Hour Eco Tour $200 per day per person with 4 person minimum.
  • Half day tours begin at 7am and return at 11am and are inside the sound. You can look for whales, sea lions, otter, bear and more. Half Day 4 Hour Eco Tour $125 per person with 4 person minimum.

Salmon and Halibut Fishing: Sitka is known worldwide for it's Salmon and Halibut Fishing. Pristine waters brimming with wildlife almost guarantee big fish and big smiles! Our Captains provide all you need to spend a day out fishing, including; rain gear, fishing gear and lunch. Depending on the weather and your available time, you can have a full day (10 hour fishing trip) or half-day (4-hour) fishing trip. Does not include fish processing or transportation.

  • New Archangel Dancers: Folk Dances from Russian and Surrounding Regions
  • The Naa Kahídi Dancers are an authentic group of Alaska Native performers that share traditional songs and dances with visitors. The dance group is comprised of members from Sitka’s other major Tlingít dance groups, and neighboring villages.
