Trails there wind along the beach, by hand-carved totem poles that tell stories of Alaska Natives. A bridge over Indian River allows you to watch salmon as they work their way up the river to lay their eggs in late summer.

The Rapture Center, located just a few minutes away is also a popular place to visit as you can get up close to various raptures, including eagles, owls and hawks that are being healed and readied to return to the wild.
